Government Religious Committee’s Youth Union attends seminar on draft law on belief, religion

The Youth Union of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) in collaboration with the Department of Legislation and Inspection organized a conference on the 4th draft of the proposed law on belief and religion for its members on May 13.
Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyễn Khắc Huy, Director of the GCRA’s Department of Legislation and Inspection, Mr. Nguyễn Phúc Nguyên, Secretary of the Youth Union and all members of the Union.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyễn Khắc Huy said that in the process of drafting, the Editorial Board has collected comments and proposals of experts, scholars, religious dignitaries for inputs to contents for the 4th draft law.
The 4th draft law contains 71 articles and 12 chapters, including 23 new articles as compared with the Ordinance on Belief and Religion, focusing on the scope of regulation, places for religious activities and religious activities by foreigners in Vietnam, competence of State bodies in charge of religious activities…
