Government religious committee, Vietnam women union review five-year coordination

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) and Vietnam Women Union (VWU) reviewed collaboration activities in the 2013-2017 period and signed a new coordinating plan at a meeting held on January 17.

The meeting was co-chaired by Vice Chairman of the GCRA Dương Ngọc Tấn and Vice President of VWU Bùi Thị Hòa, and attended by representatives from the GCRA, the VWU, religious committees and women unions from provinces and cities, and female dignitaries, deacons and followers of several religious organizations.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation activities of the mobilization work toward religious women in the last five years, as well as signed another coordinating plan for the 2018-2022 period.

According to the new signed plan, the GCRA and VWU will promote dissemination of State’s policies and laws on belief and religion amongst female religious women as well as step up trainings on religious affairs for the women union’s cadres, etc.

On the occasion, 19 organizations and 11 individuals with outstanding contributions to the women movement and the coordination on religious affairs for the period 2013-2017 have been commended and presented with certificates of merit.
