Government religious committee reviews scientific research in the first 6 months 2021

The Scientific Council of the Government Committee for Religion Affairs held a meeting on July 6 for reviewing the scientific research affairs in the first 6 months 2021 and approving the scientific and technological tasks for 2022.  

The event was chaired by the GCRA’s Vice Chairwoman cum the President of the GCRA’s Scientific Council Trần Thị Minh Nga.

At the event, Dr. Lê Thị Liên, Standing Vice Chairman of the GCRA’s Scientific Council cum Director of the GCRA’s Institute for Religious Policy Studies presented a draft report on scientific research results in the first 6 months of 2021 of the scientific council.

Accordingly, the GCRA has implemented 15 scientific and technological tasks in 2021, including four state-level projects, two ministerial-level projects, two survey project, and seven committee-level projects.

The progress of scientific tasks is implemented according to the set plan, contributing to improve the effectiveness of the GCRA’s advisory work on the state management of belief and religion.

The draft report also pointed out shortcomings in the GCRA’s scientific research work. Due to the complicated context of the Covid-19 epidemic in the first half of 2021, projects related to practical investigation and survey and the organization of several seminars have been postponed.

During the meeting, members of the scientific council gave comments on results, implementation progress, and difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing research projects, as well as proposed recommendations to improve the quality of scientific research in last 6 months of 2021 and following years.

Speaking at the meeting, the GCRA Vice Chairwoman cum President of the Scientific Council Trần Thị Minh Nga asked the standing board of the scientific council to gather comments and complete the report on the GCRA’s scientific research results in the first 6 months of 2021.

Regarding the science and technology tasks in 2022, the GCRA Vice Chairwoman asked for priority given to topics, schemes and projects of high urgency and applicability, practically contributing to 0the state management on belief and religion in the current situation.
