The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held a conference to review its performance 2015 at its headquarters on January 21.
Attending the event were Vice Chairmen of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà and Dương Ngọc Tấn, and all civil servants and officials under the GCRA.
Distinguished guests at the conference included Deputy Minister of Public Security Phạm Dũng, former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs cum Chairman of the GCRA.
During the conference, participants heard and gave comments on the draft report of activities 2015 and the proposed program for 2016.

According to the conference report, in 2015, the GCRA actively focused on key tasks including the consolidation of its organizational structure, training for officials working on state religious affairs, reviewing ten-year implementation of Directive 01/2005/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on some tasks regarding Protestantism and ten-year implementation of the Party’s Resolution 25 of the 7th Central Party Committee (9th plenum) on religious affairs, completing the draft Law on belief and religion and submitting it to the National Assembly, etc.
Besides these achievements, the report also pointed out the weaknesses and remaining issues, regarding the organization structure of state administration on religious affairs, policies and laws, state governance on unrecognized religious organizations, etc.
