The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) in collaboration with Da Nang city People’s Committee held on March 28 a conference on the state management on belief and religion in the Vietnam Central in the first quarter 2019.
The event was co-chaired by Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà and Vice Chairman of Da Nang city People’s Committee Lê Trung Chinh, attended by representatives from the central Party Commission for Mass Mobilization, Ministry of Public Security and heads of provincial agencies in charge of the state management on belief and religion of provinces and cities of the Central region.

The one-day conference reviewed the state governance on belief and religion in the first quarter 2019 and mapped out working plans for the central region in the second quarter of the year.
According to the report’s conference, the Central provinces currently have ten operative religions with a total of about 5.5 million followers and 7,000 worshipping places.
Earlier, the GCRA also held the conferences to review the state management on belief and religion in the first quarter 2019 in South and North regions.
