Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà hosted on November 8 a reception for visiting Deputy Director Khashayar M. Ghashghai from the Office of International Religious Freedom under Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, U.S. Department of the State.
Joining the reception included representatives from the GCRA’s departments for Protestant affairs, international relation, and the committee office.

At the visiting reception, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà and Deputy Director Khashayar M. Ghashghai had exchanges on the current issue of religious freedom in the U.S. and the implementation of the new Law on Belief and Religion 2016 in Vietnam.
The GCRA Vice Chairman affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State always respect and guarantee the right to freedom of belief and religion for every Vietnamese and equality of religions before the law. The Law on Belief and Religion is creating favorable conditions for religious practices of foreigners and international religious event in Vietnam, he said.
