Welcoming the delegation included Director of the GCRA’s Department of International Relation Nguyễn Đức Vinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Other Various Religions’ Affairs Trần Minh Thu and representative of the GCRA’s Office.

Speaking at the meeting reception, Director Nguyễn Đức Vinh affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State always respect and guarantee the right to freedom of belief and religion for every people, as well as create favorable conditions for religious organizations in Vietnam to expand cooperation with international religious communities.

In addition, Deputy Director Trần Minh Thu shared with the guest practices of Islam in Vietnam, including five Sunni groups in Ho Chi Minh, An Giang, Ninh Thuan, Tay Ninh and Hanoi, and two Bani Islamic communities where Islam was mixed with folk beliefs.

During the reception, the two sides also agreed to promote exchange of visits by the State agencies in charge of religious affairs in Vietnam and Turkey, contributing to enhance relations between religions in general, and Islamic organizations in particular, from the two countries.
