On February 25, Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà received a delegation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) led by Presiding Bishop Gary E. Stevenson, one of the twelve Apostles of the Church.
Welcoming the delegation also included representatives of the GCRA’s International Relation Department, Protestant Affairs Department and Committee’s Office.
During the reception meeting, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà exchanged on religious activities of the Interim Representative Board of the Mormon Church.
Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà took the chance to acknowledge contributions of the Interim Representative Board of the Mormon Church in Vietnam through socio-charitable activities, including health care, education, and cleans water program, etc.
He also expressed his hope that the Interim Representative Board would continue to promote its roles in the development of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the United States.
