Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Tiến Trọng on April 5 hosted a reception for a visiting delegation of the Adventist Church led by Pastor Nelson Paulo, Head of the Communication and Information under the Adventist Church- Southern Asia – Pacific Region.

Accompanying Pastor Nelson Paulo included Pastor Trần Thanh Truyện, President of the Vietnam Adventist Church.
Joining the event included Chief of the GCRA’s Office Nguyễn Văn Long and Head of the GCRA’s Protestant Affairs Division Thiều Thị Hương.
During the reception, Pastor Nelson Paulo shared with the host about the Adventist Church and its presence in 215 countries and territories and highlighted that the Church pays attention to health, especially young people, health programs for children, youth, marriage, and family.
On the occasion, Pastor Nelson Paulo took the chance to thank the GCRA for creating favorable conditions extended to religious practices of the Vietnam Adventist Church.
Welcoming the guests, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng shared about current religious life in Vietnam. He also spoke highly of practical contribution made by religious organizations in general and the Vietnam Adventist Church in particular to social development in the country.
The official informed that during the Covid-19 pandemic out-breaks in Vietnam, the Vietnam Adventist Church has joined hands with local authorities in the Covid-19 prevention work, presented relief supports to the poor and people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
On occasion of Easter 2023, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng extended best wishes to Pastor Nelson Paulo, Pastor Trần Thanh Truyện, other dignitaries and all members of the Adventist Church.
