On occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) 2019, a delegation of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs led by Director of Belief and Other Various Religions Department Nguyễn Ánh Chức extended Tet visits to religious organizations in An Giang province on January 22-23.
The delegation visited the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s executive committee in An Giang province, Long Xuyen diocese, the central executive committee of Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church, the management board of the worshipping temple used to be the birthplace of Hoa Hao Buddhism founder Huỳnh Phú Sổ, the provincial representative committee of the Muslim community in the province, and Tu An Hieu Nghia (Four Debts of Gratitude) Faith.
During the visits, while extending traditional New Year greetings to local religious dignitaries and followers, Director Nguyễn Ánh Chức spoke highly of practical contributions made by religious organizations to socio-economic development in the locality.
