Government Religious Committee officials extend Christmas greetings in Ho Chi Minh city & Da Nang

Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Ánh Chức on December 21 visited and met with Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng, President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam cum Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh city Archdiocese, ahead of Christmas 2022.

During the visit, while extending merry Christmas 2022 and Happy New Year 2023 to Archbishop, priests and lay Catholics in the archdiocese, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ánh Chức highlighted practical contributions made by Catholic dignitaries, deacons and parishioners in Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh Archdiocese in particular.

The Vice Chairman expressed hope that Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng, President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam, in his new position, would continue guiding Catholic followers to promote fine traditions, closely accompany with the nation, contributing to the cause of national construction and development in the country in general and Ho Chi Minh city in particular.

On the occasion, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ánh Chức also presented the floral congratulation sent by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng to Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng.

Earlier, Vice Chairman of the GCRA Nguyễn Tiến Trọng also visited and extended merry Christmas to Bishop Joseph Đặng Đức Ngân of Da Nang diocese and the Vietnam Christian Mission Church in Cam Le district of Da Nang city.
