Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Tiến Trọng on April 25 hosted a reception for the visiting delegation from the Vietnam Baptist Church led by Pastor President Nguyễn Võ Khánh Giám.

Joining the reception included Director of the GCRA’s Protestant Affairs Department Thiều Thị Hương and Deputy Chief of the GCRA’s Office Lê Trung Kiên.
Speaking with the host, Pastor President Nguyễn Võ Khánh Giám took the chance to thank the GCRA for its supports extended to the Church and briefed results of the 4th general assembly which was successfully convened in last March, elected the 23 –members Executive Committee for the 2022-2026, and approved the amended Charter with nine chapters and 53 articles.

At the reception, Vice Chairman of the GCRA Nguyễn Tiến Trọng extended congratulations to the new Executive Committee of the Church and believed that the Church’s Executive Committee in the new term would strengthen unity and promote a sustainable development of the church and well implement approved working plans in the five years.
Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng also expressed hope that the Church would continue promoting its fine values and guiding members to practice religion according to the state’s laws and the church’s motto, proactively engage in patriotic programs, and the Covid-19 prevention work, contributing to socio-economic development in the country.
