A delegation from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by Director of GCRA’s Southern Affairs Department Trà Quang Thanh on October 22 paid a working visit to the Committee for Religious Affairs in Tien Giang province.
During the working reception, Chairwoman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thị Mai briefed the guest religious practices in Tien Giang including advantages and disadvantages of local religious organizations over the past time. She also informed that religious organizations have strictly implemented Covid-19 preventive measures guided by local authorities as well as supported over one billion VND to the provincial Vaccine Fund and presented essential supplies worth over six billion VND to poor people.
Regarding recommendations put forward by the provincial religious committee, Director Trà Quang Thanh stated that he would report to the GCRA for consideration and solution.
On the same day, the GCRA delegation visited the Executive Committee of Vietnam (Binh Duc) Caodai Church.
While extending best wishes to religious dignitaries, deacons and lay followers of the Caodai Church, Director Trà Quang Thanh spoke highly of practical contributions made by the Church for the Covid-19 prevent work over the past time.
