Government religious committee official extends Tet greetings to Buddhist dignitaries in Hai Phong

Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Thị Minh Nga paid on January 27 visits to Buddhist dignitaries in Hai Phong City, ahead of Lunar New Year (Tet) 2021.  

The GCRA’s official was accompanied by Director of the GCRA’s Buddhist Affairs Department Nguyễn Phúc Nguyên and Chairman of Hai Phong municipal Religious Committee Dương Ngọc Anh.

During the visit to Most Venerable Thích Quảng Tùng, Vice President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s central Executive Council cum Chairman of the Buddhist Executive Committee in the city, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga extended wishes of good health and peace to the Chairman and other members of the VBS’s Executive Committee in the city ahead of Lunar New Year.

She also expressed hope that the Buddhist executive would continue encouraging monks, nuns and lay Buddhists in the city to strengthen national unity and practically contribute to the socio-economic development in the city.

Most Venerable Thích Quảng Tùng took the chance to thank the GCRA for favorable conditions extended to the affairs of the VBS in the city over the past years and sent Tet greetings to the GCRA’s officials and staff.

On the same day, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga visited and extending Tet greetings to Most Venerable Thích Thanh Giác, Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Committee in the city.
