Government Religious Committee official extends congratulations to new Coadjutor Bishop of Bac Ninh diocese

A delegation from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs led by Vice Chairwoman Trần Minh Nga paid on December 10 a congratulatory visit to the new Coadjutor Bishop of Bac Ninh diocese, Joseph Đỗ Quang Khang.  

During the visiting reception, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga extended congratulations to Bishop Joseph Đỗ Quang Khang on his new bishopric post of Bac Ninh diocese appointed by the Vatican on the occasion of Christmas 2021, and  presented a floral banquet of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng to the new Coadjutor Bishop of Bac Ninh diocese.

She expressed hope that, in the new position, new Coadjutor Bishop Joseph Đỗ Quang Khang, other dignitaries and all lay Catholics of the diocese would further contribute to socio-economic development of the locality.

Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga as well sent a merry Christmas to Bishop of Bac Ninh diocese Cosme Hoàng Văng Đạt, Coadjutor Bishop Joseph Đỗ Quang Khang, priests, clergies and parishioners of the diocese. She also highly appreciated practical contributions by Bac Ninh diocese, including efforts and supports in the Covid-19 prevention work, especially in allowing a kindergarten of the Congregation of Our Lady of Unity to be used as a quarantine place for Covid-19 patients’ close contacts, as well as providing necessities and foods for local people and workers in epidemic areas of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces.

Earlier, on December 9, Vice Chairwoman of the GCRA Trần Thị Minh Nga visited and extended Christmas celebrations to Bishop of Lang Son diocese Joseph Châu Ngọc Tri.
