The 48^th General Assembly of the ECVN (South) took place in July 5-6 with the participation of President of the ECVN (South) Thái Phước Trường and about 2,300 delegates from the ECVN’s chapters and congregations in the country.

The general assembly reviewed the church’s affairs in the 2017-2021 period, elected the southern evangelical church's new executive committee for 2022-2026 tenure.

Speaking at the General Assembly, Vice Chairman of the GCRA Nguyễn Tiến Trọng noted that, being the biggest Protestant organization in Vietnam, the ECVN (South) has stayed firm with its motto of “Living the Gospel in the Nation, Serving God, the Fatherland and the Nation”.

The ECVN (South) has practically joined hands with state authorities and communities during the fight against Covid-19 pandemic by allowing its worshiping places to be used as isolation places, presenting facemasks, medical equipment and protective gears to the frontlines forces, and sending relief supplies to households affected by the pandemic, the Vice Chairman highlighted.

Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng also expressed hope that the ECVN’s leaders and members would continue promoting its fine values andcontributing to the socio-economic development in the country.

Right after the 48th General Assembly of the ECVN, its 10^thbiennial general assembly of pastors will be held on July 7-8 with the aim of electing the council for pastoral clergy and reviewing pastoral affairs of the executive committee of the evangelical church.
