Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Chiến Thắng hosted on July 3 a reception for visiting U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Daniel J. Kritenbrink.
At the reception, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng affirmed that the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and the U.S has been developed in all fields of trade, education and security. He also highly appreciated the role of the U.S Embassy to Vietnam in promoting cooperation between the two sides.
The GCRA leader briefed the guests the religious life in Vietnam as well as the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion. The Vietnam State always guarantees the right to freedom of belief and religion of everyone, he stated.
The Chairman also informed that a GCRA delegation will visit the U.S from July 8 – 17 for meetings with some organizations and officials in the U.S for exchanges of religious practices in Vietnam.
Ambassador Daniel J. Kritenbrink thanked the GCRA leader for brief information on the religious life in Vietnam. He also expressed hope that the relation of cooperation between Vietnam and the U.S would be promoted in the coming time and the GCRA delegation would have a successful working visit to the U.S.
