Government Religious Committee leader receives delegation of General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Church

On March 23, Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà received a delegation of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church led by Pastor President of the Southern Asia-Pacific Region Saw Samuel.

Joining reception included Pastor President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Vietnam Trần Thanh Truyện, and representatives of the GCRA’s Office and Departments of Protestant Affairs and International Relation also attended the event.

During the event, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà shared with the guests the religious life and state policies on religion in Vietnam. He also exchanged with the delegation Vietnam’s current draft law on belief and religion.

The Vice Chairman praised the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Vietnam for its social contribution through charitable activities over the past years and extended Easter greetings of peace and happiness to pastors and followers the Church.   

Pastor Saw Samuel took the chance to thank the GCRA for its supports extended to the Church’s pastoral and social activities over the past years and said his visit to Vietnam contributed to better understand religion and laws on religion in Vietnam.
