Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà hosted a meeting for visiting Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Vietnam Hasanthi Dissanayake on January 8.
Joining with the meeting included Chairman of the Light of Asia Foundation Navin Gooneratne and representatives of the GCRA’s Departments of International Relations and Buddhist Affairs.
During the reception, the Sri Lanka Ambassador exchanged with the hosts about the international Buddhist film 2018 and the project “Sakya Kingdom”.
According to Chairman Navin Gooneratne, “Sakya Kingdom” is a Buddhist complex located in Piliyandala, Srilanka and built in May 11th, 2017 on area of 30 ha with many facilities including palaces, a mindfulness mediation centre, spiritual zones, and a global heritage centre.
For his part, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà hailed this project and expressed hope that the two sides would continue promoting Buddhist cooperation.
