Government Religious Committee leader pays visit to VBS Patriarch

Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) extended his greetings to Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Most Venerable Thích Phổ Tuệ who will turn 100 years old this year during his visit to Vien Minh pagoda in Phu Xuyen district on February 22.

Joining the visit included Director of Buddhist Affairs Department Bùi Hữu Dược.

At the visiting reception, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà expressed his hope that Supreme Patriarch Thích Phổ Tuệ would continue to guide the VBS firmly on the way to stay closely attached to and accompany with the nation, contributing to build the goal of a wealthy people, strong country, and democratic, fair and civilized society.

Most Venerable Thích Phổ Tuệ took this opportunity to thank the GCRA for their visit and stated that the VBS together with Buddhist monks, nuns and followers would promote unity, live for “better secular and religious life”, contributing to build the prosperous country.
