Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Hoài Bắc visited on April 12 Xuan Loc diocese covering in the southern province of Dong Nai ahead of Easter 2022.

The GCRA’s Chairman accompanied by Director of the GCRA’s Department for Southern Religious Affairs Trà Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the GCRA’s Catholic Affairs Department Đào Thị Đượm and representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs was welcomed by Bishop of Xuan Loc diocese John Đỗ Văn Ngân, and Bishop Joseph Đinh Đức Đạo and Bishop Dominic Nguyễn Chu Trinh, former Bishops of the diocese.
During the visit, Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Hoài Bắc presented Easter gift and extended Easter greetings to Bishop John Đỗ Văn Ngân and all other dignitaries and parishioners of Xuan Loc diocese.
The GCRA Chairman highly appreciated practical contributions of Catholic dignitaries, deacons and parishioners of Xuan Loc diocese in social programs boosting socio-economic development in the locality.
He stated that over the past years, the Vietnam Catholic Church in general and Xuan Loc diocese in particular have joined hands with the Vietnam Government and Party in the Covid-19 prevention work with hundreds of billions VND and tens thousands of relief packages and medical equipments presented to the competent authorities. In particular, Xuan Loc diocese has donated tens of billions VND and tens of thousands tons of relief supplies to people affected the pandemic. In additon, thousands of dignitaries, clergies and parishioners in the diocese have voluntarily registered to join frontline forces in the fight against the pandemic.
