Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà visited and met with Senior Venerable Chairman of the Executive Committee of the VBS Chapter in Nam Dinh province Thích Quảng Hà on May 23, ahead of Vesak Day - Buddha’s Birthday 2018 (B.E. 2562).

During the visiting reception, the GCRA leader extended best wishes and happy celebrations of Vesak Day to the Buddhist dignitary and all followers of Buddhism in the locality. He also hailed results of Buddhist affairs by the VBS chapter in Nam Dinh and stated achievements of the Buddhist chapter have contributed to not only promote Buddhist development in the country but also meet spiritual needs of people.
Senior Venerable Thích Quảng Hà, who is also Vice President of the VBS Central Executive Council, share with the guests celebrations of the Buddha’s Birthday Festival 2018 underway in the province and took the chance to thank the government religious committee for its due attention and support extended to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in general and its chapter in Nam Dinh in particular.

On the same day, Deputy Director of the Buddhist Affairs Department under the GCRA Nguyễn Phúc Nguyên visited and extended Vesak greetings to Most Venerable Deputy Patriarch of the VBS Thích Thanh Dũng and Seniour Venerable Chairman of the Executive Committee of the VBS chapter in Bac Ninh province Thích Thanh Phụng, both currently residing in the province.
