Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Hoài Bắc has extended a visit to the Holy See of Tay Ninh Caodai Church located in Hoa Thanh district’s Long Hoa ward of Tay Ninh province, on occasion of Lunar New Year (Tet) of the Cat 2023.
The GCRA leader accompanied by Director of the GCRA’s Caodai Affairs Department Nguyễn Phúc Nguyên and Chairman of the Religious and Ethnic Affairs Committee in the province Võ Thành Công was welcomed by Cardinal Chairman of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church’s Executive Committee Thượng Tám Thanh.
During the visit, while extending Tet greetings to the leader and community of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church, Chairman Vũ Hoài Bắc highlighted the success of the Church’s national congress for the 2022-2027 tenure, the amendment of the Caodai church’s charter in accordance with the Law on Belief & Religion 2016, and practical contributions made by the Caodai community for the Covid-19 prevention work in the locality.
The GCRA chairman also asked the Caodai church to continue consolidating the organizational structure of the church, and disseminating the new charter to the church community.

Speaking with guests, Cardinal Thượng Tám Thanh informed the GCRA the Caodai church’s achievements in 2022 and plans of activities toward the 100th founding anniversary of Caodaism in 2023, with a program launched for each Caodai parish to become a civilized religious place of unity. He also took the chance to thank to the GCRA for its attention and supports extended to practices of Caodai religion in the locality over the past years.
