The event held by the Central Executive Committee of the Pure-Land Buddhist Association  saw the participation Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Pure-Land Buddhist Home Association Nguyễn Văn Tuy, representatives from the municipal authorities and a large number of followers of the Buddhist association in the city.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng extended best wishes to followers of the Pure Land Buddhist Association on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday 2018. He also spoke highly of contributions of medical charities by the Buddhist Association over the past years.

Vice Chairman of the Association Nguyễn Văn Tuy took the chance to thank state authorities at all levels for their support and favorable conditions extended to religious practices of the association.

Later, the Central Executive Committee held the annual meeting on religious and charitable activities of the Buddhist association.

As reported, during the year 2017, the Association contributed over VND 174 billion to medical charities, including free medical examinations and distribution of traditional medicine packs.
