On Sept. 24, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held a seminar on current operation of training schools for religious professionals.
The seminar was chaired by Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà and attended by representatives of the GCRA’s departments and divisions.

The seminar also put forwards proposals and recommendations to the State management over religious training schools to be considered in the draft law on belief and religion for further improving the State administration on the issue.
Vietnam currently has approximately 25 million religious followers (accounting for about 27% population), 38 religious organizations recognized by the State and 54 religious training schools.
