Nearly 250 participants who are key leaders of Protestant congregations from Son La province’s eight districts of Muong La, Bac Yen, Thuan Chau, Mai Son, Quynh Nhai, Phu Yen, Song Ma và Sop Cop.

Attending the workshop conference included Director of GCRA Protestant Affairs Department Hoàng Thị Thảo and Director of Son La provincial Department of Home Affairs Lưu Minh Quân.

As this is the first workshop of this kind ever held in Son La province, heads, deputy heads and representatives of local Protestant congregations have eagerly come to participate, however difficult in traveling from their homes to the workshop venue.

During the workshops, leaders of GCRA’s Protestant Affairs Department presented key topics relating to Protestant activities locally. These topics included policies and laws of the Party and State on religion in general and Protestantism in particular, policies and laws of the Party and State on national and religious unity, administrative procedures of registration of meeting places and religious activities of registered congregations.

During the three-day workshop, participants engaged in a discussion session, which allow them to reflect religious practices in their localities and exchange their viewpoints on concerning issues. The workshop will be concluded in the Friday afternoon.
