Government Religious Committee holds gathering on 97th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on June 21 a meeting conference with collaborators on occasion of the 97th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (21/6/1925 – 21/6/2022).

The event was co-chaired by the GCRA Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga and Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng; and joint by GCRA Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ánh Chức, members of the Editorial Councils of the Religious Affairs Magazine and the GCRA’s website; representatives of the Information Center under the Home Affairs Ministry; large numbers of scholars and researchers in the field of belief and religion, reporters and editors of news agencies, dignitaries of religious organizations in Hanoi; and all the staff of the GCRA’s Information Center and Religious Affairs Magazine.

At the gathering, while extending congratulations to the Information Center and the Religious Affairs Magazine’ staff and their collaborators on the 97th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga expressed hope that through the conference, the GCRA would gather sincere and enthusiastic comments by collaborators of the GCRA’s two information and communication units.

During the conference, participants accessed achievements of the GCRA’s two units in information and propaganda work on belief and religion.

They also commented on limitations and proposed solutions for the Information Center and the Religious Affairs Magazine to further promote their role in propagating the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies on belief and religion, introducing the religious life in the country to the world, clarifying distorting claims about religious freedom in Vietnam and fighting against acts that take advantage of belief and religion to destabilize political security and social safety and order.

Speaking at the conference, GCRA Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng expressed hope that experts, researchers, collaborators of news agencies and information units of religious organizations would continue to closely cooperate with the GCRA in the coming time, contributing to propagate and disseminate guidelines and policies of the Party and State on belief and religion, encourage outstanding dignitaries, deacons and followers amongst religions, to practically contribute to the cause of national development.
