Government Religious Committee extends Tet visits to religious organizations in Vietnam North

On January 26-28, a delegation of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by its Deputy Chief of Office Nguyễn Văn Long paid visits to several religious organizations in Northern provinces ahead of the upcoming traditional Tet Festival (Lunar New Year).
Joining the delegation were representatives from Departments of Buddhist and Protestant Affairs.
At the visit meetings, GCRA’s representative expressed Tet wishes to dignitaries and followers of religious organizations. He also asked local religious leaders to continue encouraging and guiding followers to actively engage in patriotic movements for boosting socio-economic development in the country.
During the visit to Bac Son Protestant Church in Lang Son province, authorized by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Deputy Chief of the GCRA’s Office presented the Certificate of Merit of the Ministry of Home Affairs to Noóc Mò Congregation and GCRA’s Certificate of Merit to Evangelist Triệu Tiến An for outstanding contributions to the ten-year implementation of Government’s Directive No 01/2005/CT-TTg dated February 4, 2005 on some tasks regarding Protestantism.
