On March 20, a delegation from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) met with representatives of the Baha’i community in Hanoi on occasion of Naw-Ruz festival, also known as the Baha'i New Year - New Year's Day of the Baha'i.
The delegation was led by Deputy Director of the GCRA’s Department of Other Various Religion’s Affairs Trần Thị Minh Thu.
During the visiting reception, while extending best wishes to the Vietnam Bahai’s Spiritual Council in general and followers of the Baha’i community in Hanoi city in particular, Mrs. Trần Thị Minh Thu praised the Baha’i community for practical contributions to socio-economic development in the country.
Naw-Ruz festival, one of the most important Baha'i celebrations, coincides with the first day of the first month of the year in the Baha'i calendar, and this year’s festival took place from March 19 to 20.
