A delegation of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) paid visits on April 12-13 to Khmer communities in Southern provinces ahead of their Chol Chnam Thmay (traditional New Year) Festival.
The delegation led by Vice Chairman of GCRA Trần Tấn Hùng met with Khmer Buddhist dignitaries in provinces of Soc Trang, Tra Vinh and Can Tho city.
In Soc Trang, the GCRA delegation meets with Deputy Patriarch of the VBS Most Venerable Dương Nhơn
During visiting receptions, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng extended warm, happy Chol Chnam Thmay to all Khmer Buddhists and people. The GCRA leader also asked the Khmer Buddhist dignitaries to promote their roles for improving both the material and spiritual life of Khmer, as well as boosting socio-economic development in localities.
