Government Religious Committee delegation congratulates Cham Brahmin community on Kate Festival 2023

A delegation from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by Head of the GCRA’s Belief and Other Religions Division Trần Thị Minh Thu on October 13 visited and met with the Dignitaries Council of the Brahmin community in the Vietnam central province of Ninh Thuan on occasion of Kate Festival 2023.
During the visiting reception, while extending congratulatory greetings to the Brahmin people on occasion of Kate Festival 2023 of the ethnic Cham community, Head Trần Minh Thu called on the Dignitaries Council to encourage Brahmin followers to practice the religion according to the State laws and actively join in patriotic movements launched in the locality.
Speaking with the guest, Chief President of the Dignitaries Council of the Brahmin community in the province Hán Đô took the chance to thank the GCRA and local authorities for favorable conditions extended to religious practices of the Cham Brahmin community over the past years.
