Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Tấn Hùng on June 19 led a delegation to visit Giac Ngo newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City ahead of the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press (June 21).
Most Venerable Deputy Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), cum Editor of the Giac Ngo Newspaper (Enlightenment Newspaper) Thích Trí Quảng and Most Venerable Vice President of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Deputy Director of the newspaper Thích Giác Toàn welcomed the delegation.
Speaking at the visiting reception, while extending congratulatory greetings to editors and journalists of the newspaper on occasion of the Vietnam Press Day, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng praised practical contributions of the newspaper over the past years.
The GCRA delegation meets with Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang
On the same day, a delegation from the GCRA led by Deputy Director of the Buddhist Affairs Department Nguyễn Phúc Nguyên visited and extended congratulations to Most Venerable Vice President of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Head of the VBS’s Information and Communication Committee Thích Gia Quang.

Earlier, a GCRA delegation also paid a visit to congratulate the Vietnamese Catholics Newspaper on occasion of the Press Day.
