Government Religious Committee congratulates Hoa Hao Buddhist’s on birthday of founding Patriarch Huỳnh Phú Sổ

A delegation from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs led by Director of Belief and Other Religions Department Trần Thị Minh Thu paid on December 28 a visit to the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhism on occasion of the 102nd birth anniversary of the Buddhist sect’s founder Huỳnh Phú Sổ (the 25th day of the 11th lunar month, 1919 - 2021).

GCRA delegation presents gifts to the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hoa Buddhism

The GCRA delegation also met with the Management Board of the worshipping temple dedicated to the founding Patriarch of the Buddhist sect located in An Giang’s Phu My town.

While extending greetings and congratulations to the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhism, deacons and followers on occasion of the 102nd birthday of Prophet Huỳnh Phú Sổ, Director Trần Thị Minh Thu hailed practical contributions made by followers of Hoa Hao Buddhism to social charities and the Covid-19 prevention work over the past years. She also expressed hope that the Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church would further encourage followers to actively join patriotic movements and well observe Covid-19 preventive measures, contributing to the socio-economic development in the locality.

For his part, Chairman of the central Executive Committee of Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church Nguyễn Tấn Đạt affirmed that the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church and the executive bodies at all levels would continue encouraging Hoa Hoa Buddhist followers to well observe the Stat laws and proactively engage in social programs and movements, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.
