Government Religious Committee congratulates Cham Brahmin community on Kate festival

On Oct. 11, a delegation of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) led by Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng visited and congratulated the Council of dignitaries of Cham Brahmin people in Ninh Thuan province on occasion of Kate festival 2015.

While extending greetings to Cham Brahmin people on occasion of Kate festival 2015. Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng affirmed that the Party and State always acknowledge practical contributions made by Cham Brahmin people in the war for independence and reunification as well as in the present cause of national construction and defense of the country.

The Vice Chairman urged the Council of Brahmin dignitaries to ensure safety, security for people to participate in festival’s activities.

Kate is the largest festival held annually by the Cham community. It is an opportunity for people to strengthen solidarity, raise awareness of conservation and promotion of fine traditions of Cham ethnic community.
