Government Religious Committee, Central Committee of Youth Union sign coordinating program

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee signed a new coordinating program for the 2017-2022 period at a ceremony held on April 18.
The event saw the participation of Vice Chairman of the GCRA Trần Tấn Hùng, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union cum President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation Nguyễn Phi Long.
According to the signed coordinating program for the 2017-2022 period, the two sides will focus on promoting propaganda and raising awareness on State’s policies and laws on belief and religion to youth union’s members and followers of religions, as well as organizing trainings on religious affairs for the youth union’s cadres, etc.

During the event, while praising good results of implementing the coordinating program between the GCRA and the Central Committee of Youth Union for the 2013-2017 period, Vice Chairman Trần Tấn Hùng emphasized roles of religious youth in the State governance on religion, and asked for a closer collaboration between the two sides.
