Government Religious Committee appraises final results of religious surveys

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held a meeting on Dec 25 to evaluate the final results of several sub-projects under the project the “Investigating the current situation of religious activities and religion-related policies and laws system in Vietnam”.

The meeting was co-chaired by Vice Chairmen of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà and   Dương Ngọc Tấn.

According to the assessment by the two Councils established for appraisal of these sub-projects, the final reports of sub-projects reflected current religious practices as well as the process of renovating and completing the policies and laws for each specific religion. These reports also forecast trends of Vietnam’s religious activities in the coming time and proposed solutions and recommendations to improve the existing policies and laws on religion.

At the meeting, delegates pointed out weaknesses and limitations to be overcome for completion of the research projects. The Councils adopted the final reports of 05 sub-projects with 04 sub-projects recorded as excellent and 01 sub-project as fairly good.
