Government Committee for Religious Affairs’ leader visits Representative Board of the Islamic Community in Tay Ninh province.

On the occasion of the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, on August 13, 2013, Mr. Dương Ngọc Tấn, Vice - Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, visited the Representative Board of the Islamic Community in the southern province of Tay Ninh. Joining the delegation was Mr. Võ Thành Công, Deputy Head of the Board for Religious Affairs under the provincial Department of Home Affairs. The Representative Board welcomed the delegation at its office (Nguyen Van Tot street, Ward 1, Tay Ninh town)
On behalf of the Islamic Community of in Tay Ninh province, Mr. Haji Chàm Sá, Head of the Representative Board, briefed about the Cham Islamic community in the province as well as the daily life and religious activities of followers. He also thanked the authorities of all levels for creating favorable conditions for Cham Islamic followers in their physical and spiritual lives in recent years.
Mr. Dương Ngọc Tấn acknowledged positive contributions made by the Islamic Community in Vietnam in general and in Tay Ninh province in particular. He praised Cham Islam’s solidarity and close attachment to the nation. He also expressed his hope that the Representative Board will guide the Islamic community to continue upholding this noble spirit.
