Vice-Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Dương Ngọc Tấn visited Hoa Binh parish on November 20 on occasion of the inauguration of its new church.
Hoa Binh parish church under the Hung Hoa diocese is located in Dong Tien ward, Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province. The construction of its new church was started in August, 2012. It’s 55m long, 18m wide and has two towers of 44m of height and a square of 6,500m2 wide, which can accommodate about 3,000 people.
Overview of the meeting
Speaking at the meeting reception, Vice-Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn congratulated the parish’s priests and Catholic followers on the new and spacious worshipping facility. He highlighted efforts by priests of Hoa Binh parish in guiding Catholics to well implement guidelines and policies of the Party and laws of the State, contributing to socio-economic development in the locality.
