On April 8, Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà led a delegation to visit Thai Binh diocese on occasion of its 80th anniversary.
Speaking at the visiting reception, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà extended congratulatory greetings to Thai Binh diocese and congratulated the diocese on the successful organization of the first annual meeting of the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Vietnam 2016. He also expressed his hope that Catholic dignitaries of the Vietnam Catholic Church in general, and Thai Binh diocese in particular, would continue to encourage Catholics, as good citizens in the country, to make practical contributions to the development and prosperity in Vietnam.
Thai Binh diocese currently has nearly 130,000 followers with over 100 parishes under 6 deaneries.
