On March 2, Director of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA)’s Department of International Relation Nguyễn Đức Vinh received the new Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam Peng Shi Tuan.
During the reception, the two sides discussed exchanging activities for 2017, including the exchange of visits by the Vietnam’ GCRA and the China’ State Administration on Religious Affairs in order to share experiences in the State administration on religious affairs, and information sharing concerning to the establishment of a cooperation framework amongst the six countries in the Mekong sub-region, as well as religious conferences taking place in 2017.
While extending congratulatory greetings to Cultural Counselor Peng Shi Tuan for his new position, Director Nguyễn Đức Vinh believed that the Chinese cultural counselor would make practical contributions to enhance the mutual understanding and strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries.
