Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Chiến Thắng hosted on March 1 a reception for visiting a delegation of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholic in Vinh Long province.
The delegation was led by Priest Chairman of the Catholic solidarity committee in Vinh Long province Joseph Lưu Văn Minh.
Attending the reception included representatives of the GCRA’s Catholic affairs department, legislation and inspection department, and the office.

During the reception, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng shared with the guests on-going works of the state administration on religion in general, and Catholicism in particular, as well as the developing relation between the State of Vietnam and the Vatican.
The Chairman also highly appreciated practical contributions made by Catholic followers in Vinh Long province in social charities, education and vocational training over the past years, and expressed hope that Catholic priests and dignitaries in Vinh Long would continue promoting and joining hand with state authorities at various levels for socio-economic development in the province.
