The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) in collaboration with Ben Tre provincial People’s Committee held on October 29 a ceremony for presenting national flags to Caodai churches in the province.
The event taking place at the Holy See of the Chau Minh Caodai Church located in Tien Thuy commune of the province’s Chau Thanh district saw the presence of 120 dignitaries and deacons from Caodai churches and sects in the province.
Present at the event also included Vice Chairwoman of the GCRA Trần Thị Minh Nga, Vice Chairman of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization Đỗ Văn Thới, Chairman of the Ethnic – Religious Committee under the central Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyễn Văn Thanh, and representatives from concerning provincial authorities in the locality.
During the ceremony, 600 national flags have been presented to representatives of Caodai churches and sects in the province.
