The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) in collaboration with the Religious Affairs Committee in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province held on December 31 a ceremony for presenting national flags to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in the province.
Attending the event included Director of the GCRA’s Southern Religious Affairs Department Trà Quang Thanh; Most Venerable Thích Quảng Hiển, Chairman of the VBS’s executive committee in the province; representatives from the provincial religious committee, and large numbers of Buddhist dignitaries, monks and nuns in the province.
During the ceremony, on behalf of the GCRA, Director Trà Quang Thanh presented 500 national flags to the VBS’s executive committee and Buddhist pagodas in the province.
