GCRA official receives delegation of Correction-path Caodai Church and Ben Tre authorities

Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Ánh Chức hosted on May 20 a reception for a visiting of delegation of Correction-path Caodai Church and representatives of Ben Tre province, on occasion of the delegation’s working trip in Hanoi.

The Caodai delegation was led by Rev. Nguyễn Văn Lãnh, Member of the Caodai church’s High Council, and joint by Bishop Huỳnh Văn Phụ, Chairman of the Caodai church’s Central Executive Committee.

Representatives of Ben Tre provincial authorities included Standing Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization Phạm Thị Thanh Thảo, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland-Front Committee Nguyễn Thị Mai Rý, and Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Phạm Ngọc Thành.

During the visit, the Caodai delegation took the chance to thank the GCRA, concerning agencies and local authorities of Ben Tre for their favorable conditions created for religious affairs of the Caodai church over the past years, especially the guidance and support from state authorities at all levels in the organization of the grassroot-level congress for 2022-2027 term of the church’s chapters.

Rev. Phạm Văn Lãnh also informed the host about the preparation work for the Caodai church’s 6th national congress scheduled on October 14-15 with the participation of 12 representative committees of the Correction-path Caodai church in provinces and cities in the country.

Speaking with the guests, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ánh Chức highly appreciated practical contributions to the Covid-19 prevention and social charities with the total value of over 17 billion VND made by the Caodai church in the last two years.

The GCRA official also affirmed that the government always strives to promote socio-economic development in order to improve life qualities of all people including Caodai followers, as well as pays due attention to the of the religious training of Caodai churches by supporting the construction of the Caodai Missionary Institute in Da Nang city and the establishment of Ante-Creation (Tien Thien) Caodai Institute in Ben Tre that has been announced by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng on March 30.
