Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Tiến Trọng paid on June 13 a visit to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s chapter in Kon Tum province, during his working trip in the province.

The GCRA official accompanied by Director of the GCRA’s Legislation and Inspection Department Nguyễn Thị Định was welcomed by Most Venerable Thích Quảng Xả, Chairman of the VBS executive committee in the province.
During the visiting reception taking place in Hue Chieu pagoda, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng highlighted practical contributions made by the Buddhist community to the socio-economic development in the locality over the past years.
The GCRA official also extended wishes of good health and success to monks and nuns of the ongoing Buddhist summer retreat in the province.
Speaking with the guests, Most Venerable Thích Quảng Xả thanked the visiting delegation and had exchanges with the GCRA official on key Buddhist affairs of the VBS chapter in the locality as well as the preparation for the provincial VBS congress scheduled on July 17-18.
