Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Chiến Thắng led a delegation visiting to Ly Son parish under the Caodai Tay Ninh Church in Quang Ngai province’s Ly Son district on July 2.
The GCRA leader was welcomed by head of Ly Son parish Ngô Thêm.
During the visit, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng applauded practical contributions by the Caodai parish in fostering the socio-economic development in the island district.
He also urged local authorities to create favorable conditions for religious practices of the Caodai parish and encourage local Caodai followers to continue protecting the national sovereignty over the country’s seas and islands.
Ly Son Caodai parish established in 1931 currently has 871 Caodai followers and the five - member management board.

On the same day, the GCRA delegation had a meeting with Ly Son district People’s Committee and presented 50 gift sets to disadvantaged people in the locality.
