Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà hosted a reception for visiting Pastor John Chadwick Hammond, Director of Asian Events of the Samaritan’s Purse on April 4.
Joining the reception included Pastor President of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) (North) Nguyễn Hữu Mạc and representatives of the GCRA’s Department of International Relation and Department of Protestant Affairs.
Speaking at reception, Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà praised the Samaritan’s Purse and Pastor President Franklin Graham for practical contributions in social, charitable activities in Vietnam, especially fund-raising activities for supporting children in the country.
He also exchanged with the guests on the Law on Belief and Religion adopted by the Vietnam’s National Assembly last year that will officially take effect on January 1, 2018.
During the event, Pastor John Chadwick Hammond took the chance to thank the GCRA for its support extended to charities of the Samaritan’s Purse in Vietnam.
