Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà hosted a warm reception on August 31 for the visiting delegation of the Central Committee of Laos Front for National Construction led by its Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane.
Joining the reception included Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Lê Bá Trình and heads of the GCRA’s departments.
At the reception, the GCRA’s leader and Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane exchanged on cooperation activities of the two agencies in recent years. The two sides also discussed further exchanges and coorperation in education and training in religious affairs, as well as measures for the Buddhist Church in the two countries to to enhance cooperative activities, including Buddhist training coordination.
Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane thanked the GCRA for its warm welcome and highly appreciated GCRA’s support extended to the Laos Front for National Construction over the past years.
Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà pledged to step up the implementation of the cooperative agreement for the 2014-2020 period between the two agencies. He also asked the Laos Front for National Construction to create favorable conditions for the integration of Vietnamese community into the religious life in Laos, contributing to strengthen the fine traditional tie between the two countries.
