Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Hoài Bắc hosted on February 27 a reception for a visiting delegation of Cham Islam and Brahmin dignitaries from Ninh Thuan province.

Joining the visiting reception was Vice Chairman of the GCRA Nguyễn Ánh Chức and Deputy Director of Ninh Thuan provincial Home Affairs Department Trương Thanh Long.
The Cham religious delegation included Chief Châu Minh Hương, Chairman of the Bani Islamic community’s Dignitaries Council in Ninh Thuan; Ysa Thành Thanh Tâm, Chairman of the Cham Islamic community’s Representative Committee in the province, and Chief Đổng Bạ, Deputy Head of the Cham Brahmin Dignitaries Council in the locality.
At the visiting reception, Deputy Director of Ninh Thuan provincial Home Affairs Department Trương Thanh Long shared with GCRA about belief and religious life in Ninh Thuan, and highlighted practical contributions made by the Cham community for socio-economic development in the province over the past years.
Speaking with the guests, Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Hoài Bắc praised outstanding contributions of religious communities in Ninh Thuan in general and local Cham religious people in particular in patriotic emulation movements launched by local authorities. He also expressed hope that dignitaries of Cham religious organizations in the province would proactively keep themselves updated about new guidelines and policies on belief and religion, especially Decree No. 95/2023/ND-CP detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Belief and Religion.
