GCRA leader presents VBS with Prime Minister’s approval on Buddhist post-graduate trainings

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) held on January 4 a ceremony to formally receive the approval document of the Prime Minister on master and doctoral training at Buddhist Institutes.

The event taking place in the Vietnam Buddhist Institute located in Hanoi city’s Soc Son district saw the participation of Most Venerable Vice President of the VBS’s Executive Council Thích Thiện Pháp,  a large number of Buddhist dignitaries and about 600 monks and nuns of the Buddhist Institute.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà spoke highly of achievements made by the VBS on Buddhist education and expressed hope that the VBS’s training would continue promoting fine traditions of Buddhism.

Currently, the VBS has four Buddhist institutes, one college and 35 Buddhist schools with thousands of monks and nuns.
